GMAW For Employment
This course is intended for those welders who are already certified or highly proficient in a process of welding other than Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG Welding) and who need to learn this process for the purpose of gaining employment.
This course designed to teach the safe use and operation of the MIG welding machine and equipment and especially to teach proper welding technique as it relates to using the GMAW process on structural and sheet steel.
The short term goal of this course is to prepare the student for employment opportunities where GMAW, or MIG Welding is a requirement of the position.
33 hours of instruction

The course is offered in an "open enrollment" format, which allows a students to begin whenever space is available. Please check our calendar listing for availability.
Students must provide their own welding helmet, jacket or sleeves, proper GMAW gloves, and must wear 100% cotton, full length pants and clothing, as well as leather boots or shoes, and safety glasses, which must be worn at all times while in the shop.
