Dan Londo - Site Administrator / Head Welding Instructor
Site Administrator and Welding Instructor, Dan Londo, founded the Welding Certification Center. Dan is an accomplished College Welding Professor, a Certified Welder, a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE), a Licensed Contractor, and prior to starting the Welding Certification Center, a local Welding Business Owner.

Dan has had a deep passion for welding, but it wasn’t until he started teaching others to weld that he realized what his true calling in this industry was. Ever since this discovery, Dan has devoted himself to the cause of teaching people to weld to industry standards. More importantly, he has developed a unique method for teaching new welders how to achieve this in as little as 16 ½ weeks, and that usually results in the passing of a Certification Exam, nearly 100% of the time!

Dan’s devotion and dedication to being the best Welding Educator he can possibly be is evident by his obtaining an Associate’s Degree (A.S) in Welding Technology from Mt. San Antonio College, a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.Ed.) in Career and Technical Education (Vocational Ed.) from Northern Arizona University, and finally a Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) also in Career and Technical Education, and also from Northern Arizona University.

Dan is a Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety Services, Certified Welder in Structural Steel (AWS: D1.1) and Structural Steel, Light Gauge (AWS: D1.3), in both manual and semi-automatic processes.

Dan has also obtained the coveted and prestigious American Welding Society designation of Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and Certified Welding Educator (CWE), which he earned as a result of his industry experience, education, and the passing of a rigorous, all day, 3-part examination.

Lucas Cone – Welding Instructor
Lucas came to us with leadership experience first as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and then as a manager of a national retail chain store. Lucas began his journey with the Welding Certification Center as one of our first students. Early on it was evident that Lucas had a deep passion for welding as he excelled in his courses and took nearly every program we offered and passed with flying colors.

It was Lucas’ devotions, dedication, and work ethic that caused our site administrator to approach him with an opportunity to come on board as the company’s first Welding Instructor Trainee. This was a unique and groundbreaking opportunity. Our unique method of teaching is such that it requires a certain amount of discipline from our instructors that isn't found anywhere else. In addition, the Welding Certification Center has the utmost faith in the quality of our instruction and therefore the quality of our graduates. Besides, who better to help train our new students than a former student himself?

We have enjoyed having Lucas with us for several years now and he has proven time and time again, what a truly extraordinary instructor he has become by his tremendous success rate and by the constant outstanding feedback that we receive from our students. We have especially received positive feedback from our military veteran students, as Lucas’ former military background has helped make their adjustment to civilian life an easier experience.

Lucas continues to show his professionalism and desire to grow as an instructor by currently attending courses at Chaffey College in order to fulfill his goal of transferring to Northern Arizona University,  to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Career and Technical Education.

Chris Johnson - Welding Instructor (Per Diem)
Chris came to us from Union Pacific Railroad, where he spent several years as a Welder/Fabricator and a Machinist.  Chris was also responsible for training Union Pacific welders and developed a certification program, which he oversaw.

Chris is a graduate of a well-established private school, where he received his Associates Degree (A.S.) in automotive repair and fabrication. He is proficient in all processes of welding and is a certified welder.

Chris is a remarkable Welding Instructor with a tremendous amount of patience and concern for his students. Since becoming a part of the WCC Team, he has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of his students and has been responsible for a great number of students successfully passing their welder certification plate tests and becoming certified welders.

Chris has also obtained the coveted and prestigious American Welding Society designation of Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), which he earned as a result of his industry experience, education, and the passing of a rigorous, all day, 3-part examination.

Although Chris is currently a Per-Diem instructor, we are thrilled to have Chris as part of the Welding Certification Center Team and look forward to what the future holds.

Juan Chavarria – Lead Laboratory Technician
Juan first came to us as a student who showed a tremendous amount of maturity and dedication to learning the craft of welding. Our site administrator was also impressed with his calm demeanor and pleasant attitude. Always having the utmost faith in our graduates, Juan was approached to take on the position of Lab Tech, which he accepted.

Since Juan’s hiring, he has proven himself to be every bit as hard working, eager to learn, and devoted to his position as we knew he would be. He so impressed us, that he was quickly promoted to a Supervisory Position as Lead Lab Tech. We expect more great things from Juan and look forward to his continued growth at WCC.

Vanessa Londo – Vice President of Financial, Administrative, & Student Services
Vanessa came to us with managerial and compliance experience from the healthcare sector, where she held the position of Vice President of Compliance for a major national health plan.

Vanessa’s passion is in financial management and compliance, and we are extremely lucky to have her wealth of knowledge and expertise in these areas. Vanessa is extremely effective at conveying information regarding the welding industry, welding education, and the certification process to our current, former, and prospective students. She has a warm, approachable disposition, which makes her explanation of the process stress free and easy to understand and follow. Vanessa regularly receives positive feedback and gratitude for making what is a somewhat confusing and difficult process, an easy one.

Vanessa has devoted herself to her craft by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting, from the California State University, San Bernardino. She then went on to obtain her master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne.

McKenna Gauthier – Receptionist (Per Diem)
McKenna is our senior employee, having been with us from just about the beginning. She is currently a full time college student at one of the Cal State Universities. McKenna has been a tremendous asset to our company, as she has always responded to the call when company needs have required her assistance. She has always completed her assignments with the utmost of care and professionalism and has a tremendously enthusiastic and friendly disposition. We can only hope that once McKenna is done with college, that she'll want to continue on with us, and perhaps in a larger role.

If you are considering welding as a career or need training, we urge you to look around at other schools first, then come see us.  We are confident that once you see our school, what it has to offer, and the success of our students, that you'll want to come here too!
