Level 1 GMAW - Structural Steel
Level 1 Welding is a beginning Gas Metal Arc Welding course designed to teach the safe use and operation of the MIG welding machine and equipment and especially to teach proper welding technique as it relates to using the GMAW process on heavier, structural, steel.
The short term goal of this course is to prepare the student for advancement to the Level 2 GMAW Structural Steel Course. The long term goal is to advance to the Level 3 GMAW Structural Steel Welding course, which can lead to Certification.

The course is offered in an "open enrollment" format, which allows a students to begin whenever space is available. Please check our calendar listing for availability.
Students must provide their own welding helmet, jacket or sleeves, proper GMAW gloves, and must wear 100% cotton, full length pants and clothing, as well as leather boots or shoes, and safety glasses, which must be worn at all times while in the shop.
