As an alternative, you can keep your own log of continuity as it is not necessary to use our Continuity Assessment Services. For your convenience, we have provided some sample guidelines for you to follow, however, you should do YOUR OWN RESEARCh, to determine if this will satisfy the requirements of the code you have certified in:
- Perform a Continuity Assessment every 6 months (D1.1 Structural Steel) or every 12 months (D9.1 Sheet metal)
- Have someone of authority witness you perform a weld in the process you were certified in like a:
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Quality Control Inspector (QC)
- Manager
- Foreman
- Lead
- Etc.
- Keep your own log Documenting the dates of each assessment, location, process witnessed, the complete contact information of the witness, and the witness' signature
